Experience innovation: Diageo invites Brand University of Applied Sciences students to take part in an innovation project
Diageo Germany GmbH has started a cooperation with the Brand University of Applied Sciences, one of the world's first universities to systematically train future brand experts:
As part of the innovation management specialization course, Diageo has invited a group of 8 students from the bachelor's degree program “Brand Management” to prepare the market launch of an innovative spirits product within three months.
Diageo is the world's leading supplier of international premium spirits, beers, wines and mixed drinks and, with this project, would like to give marketing students the opportunity to put their theoretical methodological knowledge to the test and contribute their creativity and ideas to the market launch of innovative products.
Oliver Weyerstall , Senior Innovation & Commercialization Manager at Diageo Germany, commented on the interim project results as follows: “I am impressed by the enthusiasm with which the Brand University of Applied Sciences students approached the task. Their fresh perspective on topics that we deal with on a daily basis is extremely inspiring for us. Projects like this allow us to get in touch with young marketing talent at an early stage and integrate them into our work.”
Özgün Dogan, one of the participants in the innovation project, draws the following personal conclusion: “The opportunity to combine Diageo's experience and expertise with our own approaches and ideas was absolutely unique. I am very much looking forward to Diageo's feedback on our final project presentation.”
